Cinquains
As part of our poetry unit, the class has been learning about and writing different forms of poetry. Below is our very first attempt at cinquain poems. The students applied their understanding of poetry form, syllables, and parts of speech (adjectives, nouns, adverbs, and verbs) to create their cinquains. During the next two weeks, the class will use the skills we are developing to create a final project, using the poetry form of their choice.
